squeakers

Freshly made curds of cheddar that are packaged and sold on the day they're made. Bite-sized, mild-flavored and randomly-shaped, squeakers were invented by Wisconsin cheesemakers and get their name from the fact that they squeak audibly when eaten. See also cheese.
