rice wine

A sweet, golden wine made from fermenting freshly steamed glutinous rice. Most rice wines are low in alcohol. The most well-known Japanese rice wines are sake and mirin; those from China include shaoxing, Chia Fan, Shan Niang and Yen Hung.
