popcorn shrimp

Typically served as an appetizer, popcorn shrimp are breaded, deep-fried, bite-sized pieces of shrimp that can be eaten like popcorn. This creation originally used only the sweet, firm rock shrimp, but today other small shrimp or pieces of large shrimp are also often used.
