Italian for "bread." Pane francese [frahn-CHEH-zeh] is french bread, pane integrale [een-the-GRAH-leh] is whole wheat bread and pane nero [NEH-roh] is black bread. A panetteria is a bread bakery, as opposed to pasticceria, a bakery that sells pastries.
