Bellini

Pronunciation: [behl-LEE-nee]

An apéritif made with peach nectar and champagne. It was created in 1943 at Venice's renowned Harry's Bar in honor of the illustrious Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini. At Harry's Bar, it's customarily made with Prosecco, an Italian sparkling wine.
